Kindergarten Readiness

Parents often have questions about preparing their child for entering school.  District 20 understands how important these questions are for families.  We have collected a number of websites that have been helpful in the past when questions have been directed to us.

We started our list with two Illinois State Education sites, followed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children website, a professional organization dedicated to research and education that is specific for children 0 - 5 years of age.

The remaining websites appear to be commercial organizations, however, while we are not promoting their materials, please know that the information provided free of charge might be very helpful to some parents.

If you cannot find the information you are looking for, contact the school your child will attend either Waterbury, 630-893-8180, Greenbrook, 630-894-4544, or the District 20 Curriculum Office, 630-894-4002.
