We are continuing to work toward the next steps in distance learning, in case the school closure continues past April 7. We would like to learn more about our students' current technology access at home so that we can provide appropriate resources and support. We appreciate you completing the Technology Survey (below) to provide us with additional information so that we can plan accordingly.
Please note that we understand that students in Kindergarten through 1st Grade do not currently have their school devices at home. We are working to get their Chromebooks in their hands mid-next week and will keep you updated with our plans. K-1 parents, please complete the Technology Survey as well, so that we know whether you have internet access at home.
As a regular practice, District 20 has restrictions in place for students on the internet to ensure that their safety and privacy is maintained. We have made the decision that as of tomorrow, Saturday, March 21 at 8:00am, we will allow students to have access to YouTube. We want to ensure continued learning and understand that many educational resources use that platform. We ask for parents to help us to monitor your student's use of their school devices and internet for school-related matters only.
