Board Recognition

The Board recognized Colleen Martinez with a Board Salute at this month's meeting.  Ms. Martinez is a Social Worker for the Roselle Police Department who works collaboratively with District 20 to help support the community.  Recently, our district student services team reached out to her to help support a family attending Keeneyville schools.  Ms. Martinez went above and beyond to connect this family with resources, making a challenging situation a little less difficult.  We are very grateful to have a strong community partner like the Roselle Police Department to assist our district and families!

Operation Warm Coats

Dr. Castillo recognized a member of the Rotary Club of Bloomingdale-Roselle and her family who once again adopted Keeneyville School District 20, donating warm winter coats for students in need.  This family has donated a very generous supply of coats to our families for several years.  This year, the request for warm coats al most doubled from prior years.  We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Zmich Family!

Illinois Report Cards 2023

The 2023 Illinois school report cards were released at the end of October.  The Interactive Report Card has a lot of valuable information based on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), including growth percentile.  On the report card, you will also find the summative designations of each of our buildings.

We are excited to share that for the first time since summative designations began to be used by the state in 2018, all of our schools have achieved a designation of Commendable.  Congratulations to our Keeneyville 20 Family for this great accomplishment!

A special shoutout to our Greenbrook community for the growth they have made since being designated as Targeted back in 2018.  At that time, the school was designated targeted based on three student groups:  English Learners, Black, and Students with Disabilities.  This year Greenbrook has NO underperforming student groups.

Thank you to our entire Keeneyville communitiy for creating learning opportunities for our students to grow!

Thank You School Board!

On November 15th, school districts were encouraged to recognize the service of their Board of Education members by thanking them for all they do for the school district community.  We join the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) in their statewide campaign of "Learn Together, Lead Together," acknowledging school board members who work tirelessly to ensure all students are provided opportunity and resources for a successful future.

The Keeneyville 20 Family thanks the Board for all that they do!  At this month's meeting, administrators presented a heart warming video to show the Board their appreciation.
