Recognition of Student Artists

Each year, the Board selects two student artists to recognize for their talents and commitment to art.  The students' artwork will be on display in the District Administrative Offices alongside past award winners.  Art Teachers Ms. Kwak (Waterbury Elementary School) and Ms. White (Greenbrook Elementary School) presented the Art Award and student works of art to two very deserving students!  We are impressed with the work of these students and wish them the best in their future endeavors!

Student Ignite Awards

The Student Ignite Awards Presentation for Trimester 3 was held at the May Board Meeting.  Students in Grades 4 through 8 are nominated by the teachers for going above and beyond in the classroom effort or achievement, demonstrating excellent social emotional competencies throughout the school environment, or excelling in co-curricular and athletic programs and exhibiting qualities of hard work, perseverance, good sportsmanship, kindness, and willingness to help others.

We are blessed to have so many supportive families attend this Board Meeting to support the hard work of their students!

National Junior Honor Society Presentations

Members of the Spring Wood National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) shared an overview of their student projects from the 2024-2025 school year.  The projects included a variety of community service activities, activities engaging students across the district, and Spring Wood student activities.  We are very proud of our NJHS students and thank them for their commitment to excellence!

Board Recognition

The Board recognized the hard work and commitment of two district staff members who have gone above and beyond for their support of staff, students, and families.  Maria Noyola and Estefania Bravo support many facets of our district, but at the meeting they were honored for their efforts in service of the district's Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC).  Some of the BPAC events this year included a parent workshops series and the D20 International Day of the Child Celebration. We are grateful for their hard work!
