Director of Community Relations
Julie Relihan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, with a concentration in Law & Society from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in 1992. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in Boston, MA in 1995.
She began her career as a litigation attorney in Chicago, focusing on complex commercial litigation, products liability, contract disputes, managed health care litigation, as well as insurance and reinsurance coverage law. She continued to develop her passion and skills for advocacy, strategic planning, and client relationship management as an attorney.
Julie brought her focus on relationship building and strategic planning to the field of education, where she worked for Junior Achievement of Chicago to empower students to achieve success and plan for their futures. She held several roles within the organization, including Director of Program Training and Director of Operations for DuPage County. Julie enjoyed cultivating and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in education, businesses, and community organizations to bring resources, support, and meaningful learning experiences to DuPage County classrooms in Grades K-12.
In July 2019, Julie joined Keeneyville Elementary School District 20 as the new Director of Community Relations. She is excited to have an opportunity to bring her personal mission to empower youth through education to the ESD20 students and community!
