Mark Bocian

District Social Emotional Learning Coach

Mark Bocian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College in 1980.  He received his first Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University and his second Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.  

Mark served as an Assistant Principal at Spring Wood Middle School in the Keeneyville School District for 21 years.  He currently works as a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coach in the District  Prior to his role as Assistant Principal, Mark was the Director of Student Services at Hononegah High School in Rockton, Illinois.

Kathi Bruni

Kathy Bruni earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at Dominican University and received her first Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University in 1989. Her second Master of Arts degree with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership was completed in 1996 through National Louis University.
 
Kathy taught English/Language arts at Butler Junior High in Oak Brook for over twenty years and left the classroom to serve the Regional Office of Education on the Literacy Team to deliver professional development in literacy to districts throughout DuPage County. Kathy came to Keeneyville District 20 in 2008 as part of the State School Improvement Initiative, and her role has evolved into coach/district literacy coordinator in Keeneyville for English/Language Arts.  

Jennifer Engstrom

Jen Engstrom earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degreen from Western Illinois University in 1999.  She later earned a Masters of Education degree in Instructional Technology from National Louis University in 2003.  She has also completed a degree in Educational Leadership through Aurora University.

Jen taught Science at Roosevelt Junior High School in Bellwood for 5 years, and then joined the Keeneyville family in 2002.  She taught 8th Grade Science for 14 years at Spring Wood Middle School before her role evolved into instructional technology coach for the district.

Jana Stevens

District S.T.E.M Coach

Jana Stevens graduated with her Elementary Education degree from Loras College in 1995.  She later earned her first Master's of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University in 2000.  In 2011, she completed a second Master's degree from Concordia University in Educational Leadership.
 
Jana taught 6th Grade Science and Social Studies for 22 years at Spring Wood Middle School before taking on the role of S.T.E.M Coach for the district in 2016.
