Data Breaches

Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) requires District 20 to post any known data breaches that occur in the prior 5 years after July 1, 2021 that impacts more than 10% of district enrollment.  In the event of a data breach, communication will go out to those families who students have been impacted by a particular data breach.

In the event of a data breach, parents should take precautions by contacting the various credit agencies and the Federal Trade Commission to check for suspicious activity, initiate credit watches, and/or report identity theft.  Below is the contact information for each of those agencies.
