Jen Engstrom earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from Western Illinois University in 1999. She later earned a Masters of Education degree in Instructional Technology from National Louis University in 2003. She also completed a degree in Educational Leadership through Aurora University in 2006.
Jen taught science at Roosevelt Junior High School in Bellwood for 5 years, and then joined the Keeneyville family in 2002. She taught 8th grade science for 14 years at Spring Wood Middle School before her role evolved into instructional technology coach for the district. She served as an instructional technology coach for 6 years, and now joins the administrative team as an assistant director. She is excited to work with and encourage educators as they create and implement innovative technology experiences to engage our students.
Jen and her husband Mark live in St. Charles, IL with their two children Dana and Andrew. Outside of school she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her son who plays travel hockey or visiting her daughter who is a freshman in college at Grand Valley State University.
Carl Esquibel
Assistant Director of Information Technology & Infrastructure

Carl began his career in IT in 2008 at Fermilab. He transitioned to public education in 2021 as a Level II Technician at Spring Wood Middle School. In 2022, Carl took on the role of Assistant Director of Informational Technology and Infrastructure for Keeneyville School District.
Outside of his work day, Carl enjoys skateboarding, and playing and recording music - especially the drums.
