Jamison Pearce Named Spring Wood Principal for 2019 - 2020

During the rescheduled January regular Board of Education meeting held on February 7, the Keeneyville Elementary School District 20 Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Jamison Pearce as the next principal of Spring Wood Middle School, effective July 1, 2019.

“I believe Mr. Pearce is a wonderful addition to our administrative team and his diverse experience will help us immensely,” stated Keeneyville Superintendent Dr. Omar Castillo. “More importantly, he is a student-centered educator which was a top quality our interview team was looking for in our next Spring Wood principal. I am very excited to have him as part of our Keeneyville 20 family.”

Pearce comes to District 20 with 17 years of experience in education and has served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. He is currently the principal at North Boone Middle and Upper Elementary Schools in Community Unit School District 200 in Poplar Grove. He has been a principal with the Cambridge Lakes Charter School, assistant principal at Belvidere Central Middle School in Belvidere Community School District 100 and classroom teacher in Cary School District 26.

Pearce attended Northern Illinois University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education. He also has master’s degrees in Technology Integration and Educational Leadership. He is currently working towards a doctorate degree in Educational Administration at Aurora University.
