District 20’s Preschool for All Program Named Gold Circle of Quality Designee

Hanover Park (October 2, 2018) – The Preschool for All program at the Early Childhood Center (ECC) in Keeneyville Elementary School District 20 has been named a Gold Circle of Quality designee by ExceleRate Illinois. ExceleRate is Illinois’ quality recognition and improvement system for early learning and development programs. The designation is based on monitoring and compliance visits conducted by the Illinois State Board of Education.

"We are very excited to receive our Gold rating from the State Board of Education for our Preschool For All program,” shared Mandy Aubry, the vice principal at the ECC. “Our early childhood team worked very hard for this monitoring visit and continues to work hard every day to do what's best for our kids. I'm very proud of this accomplishment and of the effort I see every day by our staff to make this a high quality program for the preschool students in District 20."

According to ExceleRate Illinois, “the right engagement with children at an early age will enable them to form a healthy foundation of neural pathways in the brain, affecting their ability to think, react, process and grow.” The monitoring visits focus on ‘early learning and development and places a high priority on instructional excellence, family services, staff qualifications, professional development, and program administration.

District 20’s Preschool for All program serves 80 preschool children ages three through five that live within the District 20 boundaries.
