PRESCHOOL REOPENING PLAN 2020-2021
We have been working hard to prepare a plan that will work for our preschool students. Please see the ECC Welcome Letter sent to families on 8/5/2020 (ENGLISH / SPANISH) and review the ESD20 Preschool Return to Learn Plan (ENGLISH / SPANISH) which outlines what this fall will look like.
All ECC Families are asked to make a Learning Choice of In-Person Learning or Enhanced Remote Learning by next Tuesday, 8/11 by contacting Donna Rivard at firstname.lastname@example.org or (630) 894-4008 to
(1) submit your Learning Choice for the first trimester, and
(2) complete your registration for 2020-21 if you have not done so already.
ESD20 RETURN TO LEARN PLAN GRADES 1-8
All Families must submit their learning choice in Skyward Family Access for each child during Learning Choice Week, indicating whether their student(s) will attend IN-PERSON LEARNING or ENHANCED REMOTE LEARNING during the first trimester. For New or Kindergarten Families or anyone who is unable to access Skyward, please contact your school office directly.
THIS IS NOT A SURVEY. You will be making a commitment that your child will attend that instructional model from 8/20/2020 to 11/6/2020.
Both options will be 5 days each week, 8:30am to 2:30pm for elementary (including lunch/breaks/recess) and 7:45am to 1:45pm for middle school (including lunch/study hall/breaks).
Please note that the current ESD20 Return to Learn Plan and Learning Choice Week applies only to Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Preschool families should not make a Learning Choice at this time. We received new guidance from the State about preschool programs late last week and we are working to develop a new plan that will apply to preschool students at ECC. We will share the ECC plan with our families as soon as possible.
The Return to Learn FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) page has been updated to respond to questions/concerns that we have received. Please be sure to review the FAQs and Responses, as they may address many of the questions or concerns that you may have. Please note that the Return to Learn Plan and our responses are based on current guidance that we have received from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). We will update the FAQs if we receive additional or new guidance.
After reviewing the FAQs, if you still have questions please submit to INFO@ESD20.ORG.
